In 2021, L&R Distributors sought to reinforce its corporate culture and values as the company entered a new phase of growth. CEO Marc Bodner’s vision was to create a unified corporate spirit centered around the company’s ten core principles that would propel the company forward, strengthen employee engagement, and reinvigorate L&R’s commitment to excellence for their customers. The challenge was to introduce these principles to over 1,100 employees across various locations while maintaining a sense of community and connection.
BLMG developed a cohesive campaign that revolved around the core values that guide L&R, branding it “The L&R Way.” In the lead-up to the event, BLMG launched a dedicated interactive website to familiarize employees with these values, while also building excitement through a series of engaging videos and targeted email campaigns. This momentum set the stage for the event and ensured strong participation and enthusiasm from the team.
Hosted at the Monroe, NJ Distribution Center, the Ignite the L&R Way! event was broadcasted to over 1,100 employees nationwide. The event featured a keynote presentation by distribution expert Dirk Beveridge, combined with interactive, real-time participation through smartphones, which allowed employees from all across the country to engage directly. Throughout the event, The L&R Way was continuously reinforced through videos, live discussions, and team collaborations, making it the core theme of the entire corporate culture initiative.
After the event, the campaign continued with the distribution of a custom-designed newsletter and the release of monthly videos, further embedding The L&R Way into the company’s culture. Each piece of content reinforced the values and messages introduced during the event, ensuring sustained excitement and engagement.
The Ignite the L&R Way! event successfully united L&R’s over 1,100 employees under The L&R Way, reinforcing a shared sense of connection and pride in the company’s values despite the geographic distances. Through this initiative and the continued post-event engagement, BLMG helped L&R strengthen the spirit and unity within its workforce, ensuring that each employee felt part of the company’s mission.
